Privacy Policy
Plain-English heads-up: this page explains what we do with your information in everyday language. It's written to reflect Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), but it is not legal advice and isn't a substitute for it. If privacy compliance is critical for your situation, talk to a qualified lawyer.
1. Who we are
MarketCub ("MarketCub", "we", "us", or "our") is an independent marketing agency based in Canada. We redesign and build websites and integrate payment systems. This policy covers the personal information we collect through our website at marketcubagency.com and when you get in touch with us.

2. What information we collect
We try to collect as little as we reasonably can. In practice, that's:
- Contact-form submissions. When you message us through a form on the site, we collect the details you choose to give us, typically your name, email address, and the message you write.
- Basic analytics. Aggregate, mostly anonymized data about how the site is used (pages visited, rough location (country/region), device and browser type, and referring source) so we can understand what's working and improve the site.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting automatically records technical information such as IP address, timestamps, and the pages requested. This is standard and helps keep the site secure and running.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and we never ask you to send it through the site.
3. How we use your information
We use the information above only for clear, limited purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry and follow up about a potential or active project.
- To provide, maintain, and improve our website and services.
- To understand site traffic and performance through aggregate analytics.
- To protect the site against abuse, fraud, and security issues.
- To meet legal or regulatory obligations where they apply.
We will not use your information for unrelated purposes without telling you first.
4. Legal basis and consent
Under PIPEDA, we rely on your consent to collect, use, and disclose your personal information. When you submit a contact form, you're consenting to us using those details to reply to you. By using the site, you also consent to the basic analytics and server logging described above. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Your rights), though doing so may limit our ability to respond to you.
5. Cookies and analytics
Our site and our analytics provider may use cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences and measure traffic. These are used to keep the site working and to understand usage in aggregate, not to build advertising profiles about you. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may work less smoothly if you do.
6. Third-party processors
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the site. They process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their service:
- Our form provider (Web3Forms) delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox.
- Our hosting provider hosts and serves the website and keeps server logs.
- Our analytics provider measures aggregate site traffic and performance.
Each provider has its own privacy practices. We choose providers that take data protection seriously, but we encourage you to review their policies as well.
7. Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the processors listed above so the site can function, or where we're legally required to (for example, in response to a valid legal request). We never share your contact details with advertisers.
8. Data retention
We keep contact-form submissions only as long as we need them to respond to you and manage our working relationship, after which we delete or anonymize them. Server logs and analytics data are retained for a limited period in line with our providers' standard practices. You can ask us to delete your information sooner; see Your rights.
9. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limiting who can access submissions. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, so while we work hard to protect your data, we can't guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
You have rights over the personal information we hold about you. You can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that's inaccurate or out of date.
- Delete your information, or withdraw your consent to us using it.
To make any of these requests, just email hello@marketcubagency.com. We'll respond within a reasonable timeframe and may need to verify your identity first. If you're not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
11. Children's privacy
Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
12. International transfers
Some of our service providers may store or process information on servers located outside Canada (for example, in the United States). Where that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of those countries. We choose providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect your information wherever it's processed.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we change tools or our services evolve. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be highlighted on the site. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
